Walk to School Day

Walk Safety To School Day
‘Walk Safely to School Day’ is an annual, national event encouraging all primary school children to walk safely to school. It promotes road safety, health, and the environment.
To celebrate ‘Walk Safely to School Day’, our school is walking, wheeling, riding or scooting to school on Thursday 24 August .  Free coffee will be available in the carpark at the corner of Bergins Hill Road and Brisbane Street for parents only.  Students who walk to school will be rewarded with a healthy breakfast once they get to school and some other great prizes.  We are already leading by example and encouraging our students to choose healthy active travel modes, and this national day also shows our students they are part of a much bigger, national movement encouraging healthier habits and a greener environment.
So join in the fun, be active and healthy, and walk to school with your child on Thursday 24 August 2017.
