At Bundamba State School, school camps provide valuable opportunities for students to develop independence, resilience, teamwork and leadership skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Camps are carefully designed to complement classroom learning while providing memorable experiences that encourage personal growth and strengthen friendships.
Year 5 Camp – Emu Gully
Year 5 students attend camp at Emu Gully Adventure Education Group. This unique experience focuses on teamwork, perseverance, leadership and problem-solving through a range of challenging outdoor activities. Students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, support one another and develop confidence as they work together to overcome obstacles and achieve shared goals.
In 2026, Year 5 camp will be held from 9-11 September (Term 3, Week 9).
Year 6 Camp – Tallebudgera Outdoor and Environmental Education Centre
As part of their final year of primary school, Year 6 students attend camp at the Tallebudgera Outdoor and Environmental Education Centre. Set in a beautiful natural environment on the Gold Coast, students participate in a variety of outdoor, environmental and adventure-based activities that promote leadership, cooperation and personal responsibility. The camp provides an exciting opportunity for students to strengthen relationships, build confidence and create lasting memories as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
In 2026, Year 6 camp will be held from 22-24 July (Term 3, Week 2).
Our camp program is a highlight of the upper primary years and provides students with experiences that support their growth both academically and personally.
